National Dental Hygiene Month

October is National Dental Hygiene Month, organized by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA). The dental hygienist career, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, is one of the fastest growing occupations, slated to grow 36 percent by the year 2018. Dental hygienists are licensed oral health professionals who focus on preventing and treating oral diseases - both to protect teeth and gums, and also to protect patients' overall health.
